Time To Feel Sorry For The Husband…Again

Tuesday started out as a fun “ladies who run errands and lunch” day. Ms. Sugarbaker and I had some errands to run in my old stomping grounds. She was nice enough to drive, since I’ve turned into such a freak about the traffic here. 🙂 One of our many stops was Weir’s Furniture Village. Julia has a husband who actually begs her to buy furniture. Shocking, isn’t it? I know you are all jealous now. Anyhow, she needs a sofa table, among other things. And that’s what we were looking for when the heavens opened, the angels sang, and a beam of bright light illuminated this:

It was meant to be

Now, I think you all know from this post that the husband is a bit sensitive about new furniture purchases, and fromthis post that I have good intentions about reforming. But I just don’t see how I could pass up a deal like the one above. I did email the picture above to the husband right away. But by the time he called me back the purchase was complete.

Ta Da!!!

Love!!!

I know you all must agree with me that to pass up such a deal would have HAUNTED me forever. I wasn’t looking for them. I hadn’t even thought of putting benches in that room. But I think they belong. To the husband’s credit, he likes them in person and admitted that I got a great deal. But this all comes on top of me deciding to massively update the foyer, which I am not ready to show yet. So I think a little sympathy for the husband is warranted. And frankly, I’m too busy doing a happy dance to commiserate with him about how annoying his wife is. That means it’s all on you. 😉

  1. That is SO GREAT, Nichole! Yes, you would have kicked yourself for months, if not longer. And the DR looks fabulous – love that rug in there! congratulations!

Maybe our husbands could form a support group.

  2. Wowza! I, too, would have been haunted if you hadn’t bought this. LOVE IT!

BTW, have you told me where you got your d.room rug? It is smashing.

    • Thanks, Anna! The dining room rug probably comes under the heading of best bargain ever!!!! It’s a 9×12 cotton dhurrie that I found at Wisteria Outlet for $160.00. My dining room has really benefitted from living near that outlet. I got the table there for $500, and it has enough leaves that I could seat 14. Have a great week.

I think Weir’s should be giving you props for free advertising. I want to go to their Furniture Village now. You are so lucky to have a friend named Ms. Sugarbaker. What a character!!!

    • Thanks, Lori! I could definitely use the points.

As for the envy, you just concentrate on pumpkin house lady. I’m sure mini lit Christmas trees will appear on her roof any day now. 😉
