Tuesday started out as a fun “ladies who run errands and lunch” day. Ms. Sugarbaker and I had some errands to run in my old stomping grounds. She was nice enough to drive, since I’ve turned into such a freak about the traffic here. One of our many stops was Weir’s Furniture Village. Julia has a husband who actually begs her to buy furniture. Shocking, isn’t it? I know you are all jealous now. Anyhow, she needs a sofa table, among other things. And that’s what we were looking for when the heavens opened, the angels sang, and a beam of bright light illuminated this:
Now, I think you all know from this post that the husband is a bit sensitive about new furniture purchases, and fromthis post that I have good intentions about reforming. But I just don’t see how I could pass up a deal like the one above. I did email the picture above to the husband right away. But by the time he called me back the purchase was complete.
I know you all must agree with me that to pass up such a deal would have HAUNTED me forever. I wasn’t looking for them. I hadn’t even thought of putting benches in that room. But I think they belong. To the husband’s credit, he likes them in person and admitted that I got a great deal. But this all comes on top of me deciding to massively update the foyer, which I am not ready to show yet. So I think a little sympathy for the husband is warranted. And frankly, I’m too busy doing a happy dance to commiserate with him about how annoying his wife is. That means it’s all on you.
